Overview

Objectives

  1. To gain the knowledge-based and skills-set of the concept and best practices of Project Management (PM) based on PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge from PMI International, ISO 9001), and particularly the best practices of Information Technology (IT) Project Management based on IEEE standard #1058 for Software Project Management Plan, and #12207 for Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of various IT projects.
  2. To gain the skills set of using PM Software Ms. Project 2000 in planning, controlling, assessing risk, tracking progress, analysis & evaluation as well as team collaborations & communications in multi projects multi teams environment.
  3. To gain a comprehensive preparations for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam from PMI as well as the International Project Manager certification exam conducted by Tekmetriks USA on-line real-time via Internet. The exam itself will be carried out at the last day of the training.

Case-Study Projects

Case-study projects can be selected from many sources. Learnit has various collections of real project-cases. However, participants have also been free to draw on their own project-case, type of project they face mostly in their daily work, as their case-study project. The exercise will go on from the project initiation process to project planning process, from project execution processes to project controlling and project evaluation process.
